Bombay Beach Wear is an interdisciplinary community project featuring a fashion show of original BB couture and a corresponding photo series. Led by local artists Brenda Ann Kenneally, Paedrin Fusco & Candace Youngberg in collaboration with the kids of Bombay Beach, Bombay Beach Wear is a “conceptual art project that exploits the notion of high fashion to put forth a visual declaration of our intent to reclaim beauty and value amid our world of widening inequity, globalization, and corporate waste and greed.”

“The Sand and Sea Collection is made from discarded objects found by the collaborators while traveling on foot between the berm and the shoreline along Bombay Beach. The couture refuse is infused with grandeur when modeled by we who have made our home on the Salton Sea.”
